Pediatrician Accepting Private Insurance in Countryside, IL

Choosing a pediatrician often starts with one practical question: will my insurance be accepted? At All Star Pediatrics in Countryside, IL, we want that answer to be easy to find before you ever pick up the phone. Below is a clear breakdown of the private insurance plans we accept, how our billing process works, and what to check before scheduling your child's first visit.

We're In-Network with PPO Plans From These Carriers

All Star Pediatrics is in-network with PPO plans from:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • United Healthcare (UHC)

If your family is covered by a PPO plan through one of these carriers, our pediatricians are generally available to you as an in-network provider, meaning you'll pay your standard in-network co-pay and benefit from your plan's negotiated rates. Because each employer group and individual plan can vary, we recommend confirming your specific plan's network status before your first appointment — more on that below.

Want more detail on each carrier? Visit our Insurance Carriers We Accept page for a closer look at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare coverage at our practice.

HMO Plans Are Not Accepted

All Star Pediatrics accepts PPO plans only. We are not in-network with HMO plans, including HMO products offered under Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, or United Healthcare. We also do not participate in Illinois KidCare.

If you're not sure whether your plan is a PPO or an HMO, check your insurance card — it's often printed directly on the card — or call the member services number on the back of your card and ask whether All Star Pediatrics is a covered in-network provider under your specific plan.

How to Verify Your Coverage Before Your Visit

Because plan details change year to year and employer to employer, we ask every family to confirm coverage ahead of time using these steps:

  • Check your insurance card for the plan type (PPO vs. HMO) and carrier name.
  • Call the number on the back of your card and ask whether All Star Pediatrics, located in Countryside, IL, is in-network under your specific plan.
  • Bring your insurance card to every appointment. Our contracts with insurance companies require us to verify current coverage and collect your co-payment at each visit.

If you have any trouble confirming your benefits, our front office team is happy to help point you in the right direction — just give us a call at 708-352-4448.

Our Payment Policies

In addition to accepted insurance, here's what to expect financially as a patient:

  • Co-payments are due at the time of service.
  • We accept cash, personal checks, and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards.
  • For added convenience, we offer Easy Pay, which securely stores your card on file. After your visit, we submit your claim to your insurance company, and once we receive the Explanation of Benefits (EOB), we bill any remaining patient responsibility to the card on file after 10 days.
  • Missed appointments are subject to a $30 fee.
  • Records transfer requests are subject to a $20 fee.

Full details are available in our Financial Policy.
